Getting started

After the meeting, I was placed with a group that drove to the Incident Command Center for District 2.

Set up in the ballroom of a conference center, the various different groups had tables on 3 of the walls.  Feeding, Sheltering, Finance, Command, DST, Mass Care, Counseling, etc. each with a couple of chairs and most with laptops.  The command group was having a meeting.

Along the 4th wall was a series of tables with beverages.  Tea, water, coffee, soda, water; whatever one might want.

I was assigned to inventory one of the bins of equipment sent.  Once done, I sat at one of the many round tables to update some of these blog entries.  The guest wi-fi wanted $99 for 12 hours, so I will upload when I get back to the hotel.
