When the rain got intense enough that I was rain-wrapped, everywhere became equally dangerous, so I decided to drive along the highway to the next city, in-case I needed to get shelter. Upon exiting at Barnesville, MN the Severe Thunderstorm Warning was cancelled for Clay county as the storm had moved on.
I think this will end my chase for tonight, once the rain stops I will head towards the Twin Cities. No point chasing after sunset ... too risky.
