An interview before departing

After packing, I walked over to the ERV (emergency response vehicle) that was being prepped for deployment.  I figured I would check in with the volunteer who was driving the ERV in the chance that we might see each other at the DRO.  The volunteer was being interviewed, and I was asked if I would be willing to give an interview next.

Juniper Barlett is making his first deployment where he'll be in Orlando working on the technology side, trying to establish communications where utilities, internet and cell service might be nonexistent.
"Being there for people during that terrible part of their life and giving them hope and if nothing else, a shoulder to cry on," he said. "It's a very fulfilling thing to do."
