Pool closed

I got to the hotel and my key no-longer worked.  This took a while to fix as the room was not under my name, and my cell was dead again.  The hotel let me in, and I contacted the volunteer lodging lead.  She cleared things up.

May be a blessing for everyone else that I had to go through this process.  The hotel staff were not aware of how to verify who is in which room, and the situation allowed the lodging team to review the process with hotel management.  Now if the power goes out, the staff can still let us into our rooms with our shelter-in-place supplies.

The downside was, once everything had cleared up, the hotel had prepped the pool for the hurricane and it was no-longer open to the hotel guests.  *sigh*

Well, I didn't come here to swim anyway, but it would have been a nice perk.  Maybe post-landfall there will be another opportunity.
