The DST group assigned to the Chapter offices decided to go out to lunch together. Along the rout I set up the conference call to go over the vehicles Bluetooth.
Leadership is confident that we have done everything we can to prepare. Unfortunately, Dorian is proving to be not only difficult to forecast, but extremely dangerous. 200+ mph wind speeds.
We were all told to be ready to shelter-in-place for 48 hours. We were also told to keep an eye out for the Red Cross's text alerts, as they would give the official word to get to safety. There was also the usual safety warnings ... don't drive through water when you can't see how deep it goes ... don't go outside when the winds are extreme ... etc. The call completed with a discussion on how we couldn't help anyone if we didn't keep safe our-self.
